Baseball Game Preview: North Georgia HomeSchool Tribe vs. Heritage Preparatory Rams

The North Georgia HomeSchool Tribe are taking a road trip to face off against the Heritage Preparatory Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Heritage Preparatory took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on North Georgia HomeSchool, who comes in off a win.

North Georgia HomeSchool took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They walked away with a 10-7 win over Upstate. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tribe needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Kirk Dotson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed six innings while giving up five earned runs off six hits. Dotson was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 4-for-4. He also brought in three RBI, which is notable because North Georgia HomeSchool is 3-1 when he posts at least three RBI, but 2-13 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cooper Sikorski, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He has become a key player for North Georgia HomeSchool: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-13 otherwise. Eli Dill was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

North Georgia HomeSchool always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, Heritage Preparatory was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Harvester Christian Academy, falling 11-2.

North Georgia HomeSchool's record is now 5-14. As for Heritage Preparatory, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
