You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the La Quinta Aztecs's strategy against the Bolsa Grande Matadors on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that La Quinta blew the Matadors out of the water with a 49-21 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point La Quinta had established a 25 point advantage.
La Quinta's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Katelyn Vo, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Vo is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jelena Tran, who scored eight points along with three steals.
The victory got La Quinta back to even at 14-14. As for Bolsa Grande, they are on a 20-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-24.
