Softball Recap: Pierce Wins Going Away Against Ord

Pierce's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Ord Chanticleers. The result was nothing new for the Bluejays, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Jessa Kraft, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September of 2024. Peyton Brunckhorst also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Pierce always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory snapped Pierce's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-4 record. As for Ord, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Pierce and Ord will both be playing O'Neill the next time they take the field. The Chanticleers will head out to face the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bluejays will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
