The Quartz Hill Royals will face off against the Vasquez Mustangs at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Quartz Hill is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.
Quartz Hill's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 25-0 margin over Eastside. Considering the Royals have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Parker White made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Quartz Hill got a massive performance out of Kayden Smoot, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four hits gave Smoot a new career-high. Adyan Bischop was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.
Quartz Hill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .615. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in 12 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Vasquez was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Castaic.
Mason Beard was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Quartz Hill is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for Vasquez, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-9-1.
Both Quartz Hill and Vasquez just can't seem to miss. The Royals have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.4 hits per game. However, it's not like Vasquez struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Quartz Hill's way against Vasquez when the teams last played back in March of 2017, as Quartz Hill made off with a 23-0 win. Will the Royals repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
