Valencia found their leader in underclassman Cara McKell, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which McKell has scored at least 25% of Valencia's points. Keira McLaughlin was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.
Valencia's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Holy Martyrs Armenian, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Valencia and Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary will face off at 3:00 p.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
