They put the hurt on Cranston East with a sharp 65-42 win. Moses Brown has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 23 points or more this season.
Moses Brown found their leader in underclassman Lauren Bousquet, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Bousquet hasn't dropped below 15points for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Jaelynn Perez, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Cranston East's loss came despite strong showings from Mya Jiminez and Jayna Gunderway. Jiminez scored 24 points, while Gunderway scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gunderway has scored all season.
Moses Brown pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 20.25 points. As for Cranston East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moses Brown will take on Woonsocket at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Woonsocket comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Cranston East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mount St. Charles Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Addie Johnson and Jiminez.
