Despite the loss, Marian Catholic still got an impressive performance from Carly Minchhoff, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Frankie Martinelli, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals.
Scranton's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Marian Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Scranton will head out on the road to face off against Hazleton Area at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marian Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilkes-Barre at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
