Downtown Magnets has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Orthopaedic Vipers at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Downtown Magnets comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last nine games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Downtown Magnets suffered their biggest loss since December 4, 2023 on Tuesday. They suffered a rough 46-22 loss at the hands of Central City Value. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Downtown Magnets has suffered against Central City Value since February 5, 2020.
Meanwhile, Orthopaedic ended up a good deal behind USC-MAE on Wednesday and lost 25-6. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Orthopaedic in their matchups with USC-MAE: they've now lost four in a row.
Downtown Magnets bumped their record down to 0-12 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Orthopaedic, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
Downtown Magnets might still be hurting after the 40-15 loss they got from Orthopaedic in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Downtown Magnets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
