Softball Recap: St. Michael the Archangel Wins Going Away Against Raytown South

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Truman, St. Michael the Archangel was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Raytown South Cardinals with a sharp 20-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Guardians, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Sophie Young was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in September. Domenica Falco was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

St. Michael the Archangel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .815. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Raytown South only posted an OBP of .474.

St. Michael the Archangel's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Raytown South, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

St. Michael the Archangel has already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Pleasant Hill on the 9th. Raytown South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
