The Carmel Padres's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 18th straight loss. They were beaten by Greenfield 61-29. Carmel was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-14.
Several Padres players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Avery Palshaw, who scored five points along with three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Savanna Radowicz, who scored eight points.
Carmel dropped their record down to 1-20 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Greenfield, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carmel will take on the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Greenfield, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Stevenson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1039th, while the Bruins are ranked 466th).
