While Derrick Henry's 362-yard effort with six touchdowns in Yulee's 42-6 win against Glades Day (Belle Glade, Fla.) was the most publicized rushing effort of the week, Henry's performance came in just behind three rushers who each ran for over 400 yards and scored seven touchdowns.
A pair of New Jersey running backs topped the list as Corey Clement of Glassboro gained 478 yards on just 14 carries and Wesley Hills rushed for 452 yards on 18 carries. In Mississippi, Jeramie Lawrence of Falkner gained 433 yards on 27 carries. Each scored seven touchdowns.
Henry won his showdown with Glades Day standout Kelvin Taylor, who ran for 222 yards but did not make this week's list of stat leaders. The contest pitted the top two all-time rushing leaders in Florida history.
For the first time this year there were no quarterbacks with more than 600 yards passing. Brandon Martinez of El Monte came in with the top effort with 573 yards and five touchdowns.
