Roosevelt hasn't had much luck against Windsor recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Roughriders will square off against the Wizards at 10:00 a.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Roosevelt is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Rifle on Friday as they made off with a 25-18 win. The victory continues a trend for the Roughriders in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won six in a row.

Roz Muguerza and Mandi Linder did most of the damage at the plate: Muguerza went 5-for-6 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles, while Linder went 3-for-6 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave Linder a new career-high. Lily Wiese was another key player, going 3-for-6 with one home run, three runs, and one double.
Roosevelt always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .551. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Windsor got the win against Golden on Saturday by a conclusive 12-1.
Jenna McGinnis made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Breckyn Billadeau was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Gabriela Wagner, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs.
Roosevelt's record is now 17-9. As for Windsor, their record now sits at 23-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Roosevelt has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11 hits per game. However, it's not like Windsor struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 2.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Roosevelt suffered a grim 12-3 defeat to Windsor when the teams last played back in August of 2023. Can the Roughriders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
