The Franklin Wildcats won the last time they faced the Sheldon Huskies, and things went their way on Monday too. Franklin came out on top against Sheldon by a score of 49-38. Given Franklin's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Sheldon is ranked 567th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Franklin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Olivia Nicolas out in front who scored 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Tasiana Carr, who scored 14 points.
Franklin now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Sheldon, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will take on Pleasant Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sheldon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Davis Sr. at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
