The New Oxford Colonials's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a serious blow against Northeastern, falling 71-27. New Oxford was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-15.
Northeastern got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Colleen Finnegan out in front who scored 21 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Finnegan scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Lauralye Kennedy, who scored 20 points.
New Oxford's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Northeastern, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
New Oxford will be home for the holidays to greet Spring Grove at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. Northeastern will take on Eastern York in a holiday battle at TBD on Friday at.
