The Bishop's Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Olympian Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Bishop's is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
Bishop's took a loss when they played away from home last Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past San Dieguito Academy 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since April 16, 2024.
Henry Armstrong spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on zero hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kyle Rippel, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
Olympian never got on the board in their matchup on Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Hoover on Thursday. They blew past the Cardinals 13-6. Considering the Eagles have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Luke Hill was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Daniel Rodriguez was a standout: he scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Isaac Mendoza was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Olympian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Bishop's, their record now sits at 5-3-1.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bishop's hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. However, it's not like Olympian struggles in that department as they've averaged .329. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bishop's suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Olympian when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Bishop's avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
