Centennial will square off against Midtown at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Centennial will be strutting in after a  victory while Midtown will be coming in after a  loss.
Having struggled with five  defeats in a row, Centennial  turned things around against Northview  on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Titans by a score of  11-6. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their one-run performance the  matchup before.
 Tilden Reams looked comfortable as he  tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits.
 At the plate,  David Perkins and  Carlos Marquez did most of the damage at the plate:  Perkins  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances, while  Marquez  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most  runs  Perkins has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Juan Pablo Rivas, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 Centennial  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They are 2-1 when  they post two or more  strikeouts.
 Meanwhile, Midtown fell victim to Jackson and their airtight pitching crew  on Wednesday. They came up short against  the Jaguars, falling  7-0. Having soared to a lofty ten  runs in the game before, the Knights' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Centennial's win bumped their record up to 3-13. As for Midtown, their  loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-3.
 Centennial skirted past Midtown  1-0 when the teams last played  back in February of 2020. Will Centennial repeat their success,  or does  Midtown have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
