The McLane Highlanders lost against the Madera South Stallions back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. McLane took a 34-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stallions. McLane has struggled against the Stallions recently, as their game on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Madera South's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but BRIANNAH LORTA led the charge by scoring 15 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which LORTA has scored at least a third of Madera South's points. The team also got some help courtesy of JALISSA KIRKPATRICK, who scored eight points.
McLane has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. As for Madera South, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-15.
McLane will face off against the Rough Riders at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Roosevelt's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home while the Highlanders have been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road. Madera South will take on the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Fresno presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Stallions in California (the Warriors are ranked 330th, while the Stallions are ranked 768th).
