The South Allegheny Gladiators lost against the Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. South Allegheny was outmatched by Keystone Oaks on the road and fell 49-19. South Allegheny has struggled against Keystone Oaks recently, as their match on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
South Allegheny lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Emily Beaumont, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
South Allegheny has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Keystone Oaks, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3.
South Allegheny will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Belle Vernon at 3:00 p.m. on January 13th. As for Keystone Oaks, they will face off against East Allegheny at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. East Allegheny comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
