The Northwest Area Rangers entered their tilt with the Hanover Area Hawkeyes with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Northwest Area really took it to Hanover Area for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-19 win at home. Northwest Area might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matches by 39 points or more this season.
Northwest Area was led to victory by Karsyn Miner and Jordin Bowman. Miner scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists, while Bowman scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Miner has scored at least 25% of Northwest Area's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Hermanofski, who scored 12 points.
Northwest Area's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Hanover Area, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Northwest Area will head out on the road to face off against Blue Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hanover Area will be home for the holidays to greet Holy Redeemer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Holy Redeemer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday.
