Softball Recap: Weld Central Has No Trouble Against Limon

Weld Central won the last time they faced Limon and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rebels blew past the Badgers 16-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rebels.

Jennisa Hale made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Hale was even better at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Ally Landers and Lily Reh did most of the damage at the plate: Landers went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Reh went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Landers is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season. Rylee Blair was another key player, earning three RBI and two runs.

Weld Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Limon only posted an OBP of .357.

Weld Central's record now sits at 2-0.

Weld Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-12 defeat against Delta on the 22nd. As for Limon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 24-0 loss against University on the 22nd.
