The Jordan Panthers will square off against the La Serna Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Jordan is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in California (they are ranked 216th, while La Serna is ranked 495th).
With a playoff game on the line, Jordan rose to the challenge on Thursday. They breezed by the Monsoons on the road to the tune of 64-28. Jordan has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matchups by 26 points or more this season.
La Serna was handed a 41-point loss in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Rio Hondo Prep on Thursday. La Serna narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Rio Hondo Prep 43-40. The win was just what La Serna needed coming off of a 55-14 defeat in their prior contest.
Jordan's win bumped their record up to 20-8. As for La Serna, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-14 record this season.
