Despite the loss, Cherokee still got an impressive performance from Brandon Hamilton, who rushed for 146 yards and two TDs on only 15 carries, and also picked up 42 receiving yards. Hamilton's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 146 rushing yards. Jack Ruban was another key player, picking up 148 receiving yards and one score.
As for Etowah, the win got them back to even at 3-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Zeke Douglass, who rushed for 147 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run. Walker Hughes made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
