At the plate, Layne Guardiola and Reid Schultz did most of the damage at the plate: Guardiola got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Schultz went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Those three hits gave Schultz a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Townsend, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
