The Center Cougars can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They blew past Lindhurst 55-24 on the road. The win was just what Center needed coming off of a 65-30 loss in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Miessah Sagun, who almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Madison Shirley Boudreaux, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
Center's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-16. As for Lindhurst, their loss was their 11th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-24.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Center will take on Twelve Bridges at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in California (Center is ranked 687th, while Twelve Bridges is ranked 703rd). As for Lindhurst, they will head out on the road to take on Marysville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Marysville will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Lindhurst surely won't give up without a fight.
