The Brentwood War Eagles waltzed into their match on Tuesday with ten straight wins but they left with 11. They walked away with a 65-57 victory over Westminster Christian Academy. Given Brentwood's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while Westminster Christian Academy is ranked 564th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Brentwood found their leader in underclassman Zyion Andrews, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Andrews has scored all season. Khaden Walker was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Brentwood pushed their record up to 14-2 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Westminster Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brentwood and Gatewood will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Gatewood has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,191 points over their last 16 contests. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Piedmont Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Piedmont Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
