Georgia High School Basketball - Brentwood tops Westminster Christian Academy
January 23, 2024: Watkinsville, GA 30677 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Brentwood War Eagles (Sandersville, GA) and the host Westminster Christian Academy Lions (Watkinsville, GA), saw Brentwood's basketball squad knock off Westminster Christian Academy by a tally of 65-57.
With the victory, Brentwood improves its record to 14-2 on the campaign. The War Eagles host Gatewood (Eatonton, GA) to play the Gators in a GIAA AA Region 2 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Gators come into the challenge with a record of 15-2. Gatewood won 105-42 in their recent league challenge against Piedmont Academy (Monticello, GA)
Next up, the Lions play the Piedmont Academy Cougars (Monticello, GA) in a GIAA AA Region 2 challenge, on Thursday, January 25. Westminster Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 0-17 record after their 105-42 league loss to Gatewood (Eatonton, GA).
