Georgia High School Basketball - Brentwood nips Westminster Christian Academy
February 2, 2024: Sandersville, GA 31082 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Brentwood War Eagles (Sandersville, GA) and the visiting Westminster Christian Academy Lions (Watkinsville, GA), saw Brentwood's basketball squad hold off Westminster Christian Academy by a tally of 57-53.
With the victory, Brentwood improves its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The War Eagles host Piedmont Academy (Monticello, GA) to play the Cougars in a GIAA AA Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 2-20. Piedmont Academy won 49-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Briarwood Academy (Warrenton, GA)
Next up, the Lions play the Gatewood Gators (Eatonton, GA) in a GIAA AA Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Westminster Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-16 season record.
