East Bakersfield lost against Golden Valley back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The East Bakersfield Blades fell just short of the Golden Valley Bulldogs by a score of 39-37. The Blades' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

East Bakersfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Golden Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

East Bakersfield will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Templeton at 1:30 p.m. on December 26th. Golden Valley also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against San Bernardino at 4:30 p.m. on December 26th.
