Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gering). They put the hurt on the Chase County Longhorns with a sharp 17-0 win on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Danae Savala was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in September of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.
In other batting news, Gering got a massive performance out of Maiya Blanco, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
