On Thursday, Wood lost to Riverbank on the road  by a decisive  52-34 margin. Wood has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Wood's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Natalia Sanchez, who  scored 10 points along with 8  rebounds. Sanchez scored a full 29.4% of Wood's points, the fourth time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points.  Tianna Palmer was another key contributor,  scoring 9 points along with 11  rebounds.
 Wood's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Riverbank, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
 Wood will take on Chavez at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. Chavez comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Riverbank's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cosumnes Oaks at 6:30  p.m.  on December 1st. One thing working in Cosumnes Oaks' favor is that they have posted big  point totals  every time they've taken the court this season.
