After flying high against the Baldwin Park Braves  last Thursday, the Don Lugo Conquistadores came back down to earth. Don Lugo fell just short of the Tigers by a score of  39-37. Don Lugo has struggled against the Tigers recently, as their  contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 Don Lugo's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Makena Encarnacion, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and nine  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Sarah Magadan, who  scored 14 points along with two  steals.
 Don Lugo  struggled to get the ball back on offense and  finished the game with only two  offensive rebounds. That's the fewest  offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
 Don Lugo's loss was  their fifth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 10-15. Those losses could be blamed on the team's  offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.2 points per game. As for Chaffey, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
 Don Lugo will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jaguars at 4:45  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Chaffey, they will head out on the road to  square off against  the Cavaliers at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
