Football Recap: Perryton Finds Home Field Redemption Against Hereford

There's no place like home for Perryton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 38-28 victory over the Hereford Whitefaces on Friday. The Rangers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Cooper Ryan Schilling continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 195 yards and four TDs, while also rushing for 68 yards and one score on only nine carries. Perryton's leading receiver Gordo Estrada was Ryan Schilling's top target yet again, picking up 112 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Another reason for the win was Perryton's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. In that department, Kane Kinney was the leader with two.

The win got Perryton back to even at 2-2. As for Hereford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coming up, Perryton will face off against Pampa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hereford, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
