While Horizon's victory against Mountain Vista wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hawks narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Golden Eagles 4-3. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The win got Horizon back to even at 4-4. As for Mountain Vista, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horizon will head out to face off against Fairview at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.88 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mountain Vista, they will venture away from home to challenge Lakewood at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Eagles will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
