Upper Perkiomen has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Upper Merion Area Vikings at 6:00 p.m.
Last Friday, Upper Perkiomen had to suffer through a rough 64-27 loss at the hands of Phoenixville. Upper Perkiomen was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-17.
Erin States put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Upper Merion Area entered their tilt with Pottstown with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. The stars were shining brightly for Upper Merion Area in a 34-20 victory over Pottstown on Friday.
Upper Merion Area found their leader in underclassman Kennedy Coles, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Smith, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Upper Perkiomen bumped their record down to 2-4 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.1 points per game. As for Upper Merion Area, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Upper Perkiomen came up short against Upper Merion Area in their previous matchup back in January, falling 41-30. Can Upper Perkiomen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
