Seth Zeko spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Blake Jones, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Desert Christian: the team is 2-0-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-4-1 otherwise. Logan Mount was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Desert Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Vasquez owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. Everything went their way against Santa Clarita Christian as they made off with a 6-0 victory. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.
Brandon Vasquez was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
The win made it two in a row for Vasquez and bumps their season record up to 12-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Desert Christian, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-4-2.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Desert Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .441. However, it's not like Vasquez struggles in that department as they've averaged .438. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Desert Christian couldn't quite get it done against Vasquez when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Will the Knights have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
