The Lawrence Tigers lost to the Comstock Colts back in December of 2023, but the Lawrence Tigers didn't allow the Comstock Colts the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Lawrence skirted past the Colts 47-45.
Lawrence's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Noel Saldana led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Saldana has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben McCaw, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Lawrence is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season. As for Comstock, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lawrence's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Comstock will take on the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bloomingdale has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1.
