It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the GALA Goddesses had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past the Panthers 54-17 at home. GALA's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Leading GALA to victory were Lauren Pang-Le and Leland Holleman. Pang-Le scored 13 points, while Holleman scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Holleman has scored all season. Elissa Arnold was another key contributor, scoring six points.
GALA's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-9. As for Horace Mann UCLA Community, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.
GALA will head out on the road to challenge University Pathways Medical Magnet at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully University Pathways Medical Magnet focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Thursday. Horace Mann UCLA Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
