Ventura is 9-1 against San Marcos since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Ventura scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Pacifica 83-7 at home. That 83-7 margin sets a new team best for Ventura this season.
It was another big night for Skyler Knight, who scored 26 points along with four steals. Kailee Staniland was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, San Marcos unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Oxnard, falling 68-38. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points San Marcos has scored all season.
Ventura's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for San Marcos, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
