The Rancho Cotate Cougars suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 67-30 loss at the hands of Healdsburg. Rancho Cotate has not had much luck with Healdsburg recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Rancho Cotate still got an impressive performance from Janice Williams, who scored 12 points along with two steals. Williams hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games.
Rancho Cotate's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-10. As for Healdsburg, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rancho Cotate will face off against St. Vincent de Paul at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Vincent de Paul will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 919th, while Rancho Cotate is ranked 452nd). As for Healdsburg, they will head out on the road to take on Windsor at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Windsor will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
