Redding Christian is 0-10 against Los Molinos since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Lions will face off against the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Redding Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Plumas Charter as they made off with a 10-2 victory. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on three straight.

Brodie Ogden made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and not a single walk). He has become a key player for Redding Christian: the team is 5-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5 otherwise. Ogden was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Caleb Zick was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Los Molinos came tearing into last Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Raiders a 24-0 shutout.
Like Redding Christian, Los Molinos also got a great game from a two-way player: Harrison Hamre. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hamre has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Karson Fox looked comfortable as he went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Dakota DeMarco, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Izick Nelson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four runs and two RBI.
Los Molinos always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .683. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Burney only posted an OBP of .059.
Los Molinos pushed their record up to 21-6 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.9 runs over those games. As for Redding Christian, their record is now 9-6.
Redding Christian couldn't quite finish off Los Molinos when the teams last played back in April and fell 2-0. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
