With a playoff win on the line, Las Lomas rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top against the Clear Lake Cardinals by a score of 5-1. The victory was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on four straight.
Jack Foscalina was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Harrison May, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Las Lomas was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.
Las Lomas' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-11-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Clear Lake, they moved to 19-6 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.
Looking ahead, Las Lomas will welcome Menlo School at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Menlo School has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Clear Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
