Kerman has gone 9-1 against Washington Union recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Kerman Lions face off against Washington Union Panthers at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Kerman 2.1, Washington Union 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Saturday, Kerman made easy work of San Luis Obispo and carried off a 9-3 victory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by six runs or more this season.

Giovanni Gastelum made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Steven Luna, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. Langston Manha was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, Washington Union can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Mt. Whitney 6-5.
Like Kerman, Washington Union also got a great game from a two-way player: Cole Roth. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Roth has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, Davin Finderup was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Dailon Finderup, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Kerman has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. Washington Union's win bumped their record up to 10-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Kerman has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Washington Union struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Kerman skirted past Washington Union 10-9 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Does Kerman have another victory up their sleeve, or will Washington Union turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
