Basketball Recap: Frontier Skates Past Stockdale with Ease

Frontier won the last time they faced Stockdale and things went their way on Thursday too. The Frontier Titans breezed by the Stockdale Mustangs to the tune of 65-23. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 26 points or more this season.

Frontier's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rizelle Copeland led the charge by putting up 16 points along with five boards and three steals. Copeland has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times she's played. Alexis Tinnin was another key player, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards.

Frontier smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in 11 consecutive contests.

Stockdale's loss came despite strong showings from Emilee Turner and Ashley Wilson. Turner posted seven points, while Wilson put up five points and seven rebounds.

Frontier has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.1 points per game. As for Stockdale, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Frontier will venture away from home to face off against Redwood at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Frontier is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season. As for Stockdale, they will host Garces Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
