With a playoff win on the line, Yuba City rose to the challenge on Monday. Everything went their way against the West Park Panthers as they made off with a 13-1 win. The victory was nothing new for the Honkers as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Yuba City got a massive performance out of Brandon Pelechowicz, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Cesar Guizar, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Yuba City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in February.
Yuba City's win bumped their record up to 26-5. As for West Park, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 24-7 record.
