Julian Tafoya put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
