Wonderful College Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight  defeat. They fell  7-4 to the Farmersville Aztecs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aztecs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  6-3  back in April.

 Julian Tafoya put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out eight batters over  5.1 innings while giving up  five earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits (and only one walk). What's more,  he gave up only one  walk, the fewest he's  had since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  runs and one  stolen base. He has become a key player for Wonderful College Prep Academy: the team is 3-1 when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 2-14 otherwise.
 In other batting news,  Teagan Kent was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last four games he's  played.
Wonderful College Prep Academy's record now sits at 5-15. As for Farmersville, their victory was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 9-11-2.
As of now, neither Wonderful College Prep Academy nor the Aztecs have any future games scheduled.
