The Strasburg Indians will challenge the Lyons Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Strasburg's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last ten contests.
On Tuesday, Strasburg didn't have quite enough to beat Brush and fell 12-11.

Madi Olsen and Addi Kent stepped up to the plate in a big way. Olsen fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 3-for-4, while Kent went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. Kent has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Savanah Bradley, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Lyons entered their tilt with Valley on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Vikings a 13-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won ten games by eight runs or more so far this season.
The result came thanks to Gretta Wynja's shutout, as she gave up just a hit.
At the plate, Dahlia Oviatt was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Ava Vasquez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Lyons was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valley only posted a batting average of .053.
Lyons' victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Strasburg, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Strasburg hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .427. However, it's not like Lyons struggles in that department as they've averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Strasburg came out on top in a nail-biter against Lyons in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 7-6. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
