In what's become a running theme this season, the Morse Tigers gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Christian 61-24 at home. Given Morse's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Christian is ranked 738th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Christian saw an underclassman step up: Jazmyn Bugg scored 13 points.
Morse is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. As for Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.
Morse and Valhalla will face off at 5:30 p.m. on February 7th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Morse is facing Valhalla at the right time seeing as Valhalla is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Academy of Our Lady of Peace at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Academy of Our Lady of Peace is on a three-game streak of home losses, Christian a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
