Baseball Recap: Pana Wins Going Away Against Sullivan

Pana won the last time they faced Sullivan and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers blew past the Redskins 11-1. Considering the Panthers have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jax Czaikowski and Madyx Angel did most of the damage at the plate: Czaikowski went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI, while Angel went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs Czaikowski has posted since back in March. Carder Burris was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Pana was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Pana is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Sullivan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

Pana will take on Nokomis at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sullivan, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Blue Ridge at 4:30 p.m.
