University had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Lick-Wilmerding Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Red Devils as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Tate Gebhart was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Leo Felder was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ronin Brumfield, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
University was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are 11-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
