The High Tech NC Raptor waltzed into their matchup Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They really took it to Chula Vista Learning Community Charter for the full four quarters, racking up a 41-11 win at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win High Tech NC has managed all season.
High Tech NC's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Analia Barraza, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Barraza has scored at least 25% of High Tech NC's points. Another player making a difference was Riley Hernandez, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.
High Tech NC pushed their record up to 5-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Chula Vista Learning Community Charter, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. High Tech NC will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Foothills Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Foothills Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Chula Vista Learning Community Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Coastal Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
